(for toning and flexibility)

Let dance move you! Gain flexibility, balance, poise, strength and grace while learning the fundamentals of ballet. Learn the basics from proper foot positions to body alignment in a fun, creative and supporting environment. Technique: Classes are taught with a focus on encouraging the students to discover their strengths and work on improving overall alignment and flexibility through the basics of classical ballet. In certain classes, a portion of the class is devoted to the Ollom Floor Series©. This core development exercise program goes beyond a standard abdominal class to strengthen the core muscles that are central to any movement.

John Ollom received his BFA in Ballet from TCU where he trained under Stephanie Rand, Li Chou Cheng of Beijiing Ballet and Fernando Bujones of ABT and the Royal Ballet. He was the only male dancer chosen to dance Fernando's original choreography in Reggio Emilia, Italy . John also trained at the Colorado Ballet and Boston Ballet under scholarship. John has performed with the Fort Worth/ Dallas Ballet, Granite State Ballet, Diane Faye Dance Theater, Michael Mao Dance, The Bolshoi Ballet in The Pharaoh's Daughter and Annabella Gonzalez Dance Theater. He has performed throughout Europe, Africa, and China . John is the Artistic Director of Ollom Dance Theatre/ Prismatic Productions, Inc. His work has been shown at the Clark Theater at 70 Lincoln Center in 2004 and 2006. He has choreographed John Ollom's The Journey, Anatomy of Woman, Dido and Aeneas, Orfeo and Euridice and Karpos and Kalamos. John has also received a choreography residency at the Baryshnikov studios at the White Oak Plantation through the Field and the Howard Gilman Foundation. He has been a faculty member of Prismatic's Summer Dance Intensives in Northampton, MA for the past four years. See more at PrismaticProductions.com
